Holy Communion (10:30), Fresh Expressions (4:00) next Sunday 25 Feb
As we continue to explore new ways of deepening our faith with Christ, we will have just one morning service (Holy Communion) at 10:30 am and then our pilot service (Fresh Expressions) at 4:00pm. People of all ages are welcome to both services.
Our Fresh Expressions service is very much a pilot scheme, which every parishioner is invited to have a stake in. If you have any ideas, suggestions or feedback, please feel free to contact Tom O'Brien about it.
#Jars4Journeys Lenten Appeal
We have been invited by the Church of Ireland Bishops’ Appeal, Eco–Congregation Ireland and the Representative Church Body of the Church of Ireland (RCB) to take part in their Lenten initiative #Jars4Journeys.
We are asked to save an old jam jar or other recyclable container and every time we make a journey that is by foot or by bike, we are asked to donate to whatever that would have cost us if we traveled by car or bus instead (a good guide price is probably the cost of a round trip bus fare each time). The money raised will go towards three fantastic conservation projects around the world that support and help build resilience in communities who are most affected by climate change. Bishops’ Appeal and the RCB are match–funding the first €1,000/£1,000 raised.
Join us this Lent in being mindful of the impact of our lifestyles on others and on all of creation.

Howth, Balydoyle, Sutton InterChurch Bible Studies
LAST MEETING THIS MONDAY (26 Feb)
Having successfully welcomed in the new year the Howth, Baldoyle, Sutton InterChurch Group are offering an interesting series of bible studies to help us in our lead up to Lent. These studies will hosted by St Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Baldoyle and facilitated by Fr Kieran O'Mahony OSA, a gifted biblical teacher. In each of the sessions we will be looking at the Gospels to be read in our individual Churches on the following Sunday. There will be five studies in total all at 7:30pm in the Church Centre on Monday January 22nd & 29th, and February 5th, 12th & 26th (please note there is no meeting on February 19th). Each session can be attended on a stand alone basis. The details of each of these gospel readings and background information can be obtained by clicking this link here.
